They chopped it down
Then thought it was over
The tree is gone
No place to call a home
Take the wood into the fire
Let it burn to ashes
We will never hear of it again
In this I wept
Who will save the soul
The soul left to rot on the wood
The chopped wood
In a trance,
Like a flash
I saw the curtain tear in half
A mighty wind was here
But how will everything become one piece?
Suddenly, From the ashes,
The roots stretched
From the earth, it rose
The great tree of steel never to die anymore
3 days was all it took
They never expected this
Once a rejected wood now the choicest furniture
My Jesus hung on the tree
Has risen to set me free
Freeborn, new born.
So I celebrate this grace, hallelujah.
